WSC and ISC urge weighing of boxes

The World Shipping Council (WSC) and International Chamber of Shipping (ISC) have again urged the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to 'establish a universal regulatory requirement that export cargo containers be compulsorily weighed by marine terminals upon receipt and before vessel loading. 'Also that the actual container weights be made available to the vessel operator and used for vessel stowage planning'.
