ICF goes into liquidation

Basle-based Intercontainer-Interfrigo (ICF) has been put into liquidation by its shareholders. The rail service provider currently operates 145 block-trains/shuttles throughout Europe, and the intention is to continue running these until alternative arrangements can be found. Negotiations on the transfer of the business units that operate them are ongoing, the success of which will determine how many jobs are eventually lost.
