Felixstowe's rail terminal on track

The much-awaited construction of Felixstowe's new North Rail Terminal finally started on March 14,2012. Once completed in mid-2013, it will significantly increase the port's current limit of 29 rail services a day. Speaking at an event to mark the ground-breaking occasion, Clemence Cheng, managing director of HPH Central Europe, enthused: 'This new rail facility is part of the port's on-going programme of expansion which will further consolidate our position as the leading gateway in the UK for deep-sea container traffic.
