Fire-damaged boxship MSC Flaminia was finally granted entry into the Romanian port of Constantza for repair on May 17, having spent six weeks at anchor while the authorities inspected it and took samples to ensure no hazards remained. The 6,750 teu vessel arrived outside the port on March 29, having made an assisted passage from its JadeWeserPort refuge, en route to the Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries shipyard, where it is due to have its fire-ravaged mid-section replaced.
