HMM reduces deficit

Hyundai Merchant Marine, South Korea's second-largest box operator, narrowed its net loss in the first quarter of 2013 to Won99bn ($89m), down from Won999bn in the previous quarter and Won297bn year-on-year. Sales for the period amounted to Won1.7trn, down from Won1.8trn in the previous quarter and year-on-year. HMM reduced its cost of sales to Wonl.8trn, from Won2trn in the prior quarter.
