Nol reported a third-quarter loss, as decreases in liner revenue, lower freight rates and US port congestion took their toll. The Singapore company posted a net loss of $23m for the period compared with a profit of $20m last year. It blamed the loss on declines in the revenues of its container shipping business APL, and weaker prices as well as delays at Los Angeles and Long Beach.
