CMA CGM puts US west coast ports to the test with 18,000 teu ship

CMA CGM plans to test out the ability of US west coast ports to handle an 18,000 teu ship before making any final decision about deploying vessels of this capacity in regular services on the Pacific. The French line's latest delivery, the 17,700 teu CMA COM Benjamin Franklin, is due to arrive in Los Angeles later this month in what will be a landmark visit.
