Gerry Wang to get $12m golden handshake from Seaspan

THE resignation of Gerry Wang leaves a giant void at Seaspan Corp as the containership behemoth tries to steady the ship and embark on a new growth phase. Mr Wang, who will officially step down from the post of chief executive at the end of the year will receive an estimated $12m severance package. His departure comes just a few months after Seaspan co-founder Graham Porter also left.
