Cosco rules out new ships and PIL interest

COSCO Shipping Holdings vice-chairman Huang Xiaowen has denied his company is planning another major shipping takeover, after Pacific International Lines was mooted by some observers as a possible target. The clarification came in response to rumours that the Chinese state-owned giant was mulling a purchase of the Singapore-based carrier. Cosco is still in the process of buying Hong Kong-listed Orient Overseas (International) Ltd.
