Hermann Ebel insolvency could force sale of Hansa Treuhand companies

HAMBURG KG kingpin Hermann Ebel has declared himself personally insolvent, in a move that could see some of his companies sold off in the next few months, according to the lawyer acting as administrator in the proceedings. Jan Wilhelm of local law firm Hermann Wienberg Wilhelm pointed out that companies under Mr Ebel's Hansa Treuhand Holding umbrella are not directly affected by his personal standing and will continue to operate normally for the time being.
