At the ThyssenKrupp CSA Siderurgica do Atlintico (TKCSA) worksite in Santa Cruz, metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, 120 pile-driving machines are working 24 hours a day carrying out the piling and all the foundation works - the largest onshore foundation construction site in the world. Among these machines are five hydraulic hammers and two pile-driving rigs from the Finnish company Junttan. TKCSA is the largest investment project to take place in Brazil in the last ten years, with a total value of €4.5 billion (US$5.8bn), Its main shareholder with 90% shareholding is ThyssenKrupp Steel, the largest producerof steel in Germany and one of the largest in the world.
