This excellent book is based on a 15-year research project focused on dynamic interactive graphics. With extensive experience in the development of statistical software, the authors present a visual environment for statistical analysis that uses dynamic graphics to communicate information about the data. Visual statistics accomplishes the goal of bringing the most complex and advanced statistical methods within the reach of those with little statistical training by using animated graphics of the data. A companion Web site complements the book by further demonstrating the concept of creating interactive and dynamic graphics.
