The paper explores the use of print and electronic resources by graduate students in a metropolitan university library, in order to assess the students' perceptions and preferences, and to identify the strong and weak points of different media types.rnPrevious studies on students and faculty have already indicated that convenience, timeliness, and ability to perform text searches influence user preferences toward electronic media, while print journals remain crucial for their reliability and permanent accessibility.
