Beginning Python visualization: crafting visual transformation scripts

This book is for programmers who wish to simplify their toolsets for handling data visualization; knowledge of the Python language is not required. As Tim O'Reilly noted in his keynote address at the JavaOne conference [1], the Unix world is populated by a collection of small programs aimed at resolving single problems, which can be connected to perform functions beyond the capability of any of them alone. Following this pattern, engineers, physicists, and mathematicians often use a variety of tools to process, organize, analyze, and visualize data-for example, MATLAB,rnsed, AWK, Bash, Perl, and gnuplot.
