The thesis of this paper is that the information that is communicated among process stakeholders by business process management systems (BPMS) through the information technology (IT) communication system does not take into account the communication context of the participants. The research attempts to answer the following questions: 1.What is communication context? 2.How can the communication context of business process stakeholders be discovered? 3.Can a BPMS serve as an adequate source for determining this communication context?
