This paper proposes an energy-efficient middleware structure for sensor networks. This mechanism can distinguish fallacious motions and reduce the amount of processing messages. In addition, it deals with pre-processed information using a more efficient method, thus reducing electric energy consumption. The authors implement a practical environment to achieve the middleware structure, and verify the proposed mechanism in several scenarios. These detailed experiments and simulations demonstrate that the proposed structure indeed results in a significant performance improvement. Unfortunately, the paper lacks comparisons with other similar mechanisms.
