The field of logic is deeply rooted in philosophy. In fact, it has been a vital part of philosophy since Aristotle's time. However, following the foundational crisis in mathematics at the start of the 20th century, logic has been increasingly taken over by mathematicians and computer scientists. The author of this book is a philosophy professor in D(")...sseldorf, Germany, who has developed a fresh philosophical perspective on logic to rectify some of the developments of mathematical logic that he considers incorrect from a philosophical point of view.
