Mass media, the Internet in particular, often spreads false rumors and claims before they can be verified or critiqued by experts. These rumors can cause significant harm during violent events such as natural disasters. This paper presents a system that stops the spread of false information based on the critique of a group of crowdsourced critical thinkers. To classify a rumor as false, people need at least two things: (1) basic education and (2) some prior information about the subject matter of the rumor. The proposed system, however, removes these requirements by crowdsourced intelligence. The crowd verifies the accuracy of the claim.
