An advanced course design for mobile embedded software through Android programming

摘要

The students in this study participated in a programming course to learn about an Android development environment with coursework and projects that had a real-world context. The cohort was assessed on weekly lab work and the successful development and demonstration of a final project in a public showcasing event. The course structure included location-based services, augmented reality, and analyzing and reviewing trends in smartphone technologies, smart cars, and smart robots. The final project was a cooperative task for teams of two to three students.
