The authors have done extensive work introducing and presenting background on two approaches to change impact analysis in business process models: one is semantic (without revision history), and another is a mining approach (using revision histories). Most of the projects are affected by change management in some way and lead to changes in budget and schedule. Predictive models are still in a primitive stage, so this model is important to study as a way to deal with this issue. The major contribution of the paper is the presentation of predictive models using historical change impact data, a relatively new topic that is useful for the industry.
