Social collective intelligence: combining the powers of humans and machines to build a smarter society

摘要

Social collective intelligence is a new area that represents a mix of collective intelligence and social informatics. Its aim is to solve problems using the contributions of human collectives by enhancing social processes between humans. Social collective intelligence also includes many other areas that combine advanced technology with human intelligence, both individual and collective. Although many research contributions have been made recently, we are still far from a principled approach for designing and operating these kinds of systems. The purpose of this book is to gather interesting papers on this subject, giving both technological and sociotechnical aspects, and thus providing an up-to-date survey of existing research.
