The simple gesture of thanking someone for a job well done can go a long way toward building a solid team. In fact, Glayn Lewis says it's the small things that count most when you're working in a group. He should know. Lewis has been a project leader, in some form or another, for the past 30 years. "Humans are humans, but if you start to give them respect and thank them for the good work they do, they'll start to shine," says Lewis, a professional engineer who is currently a project manager at Communication Network & Services Research (CNSR), one of five New Brunswick-based research projects funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. The public-private partnership aims to generate advances in digital audio broadcasting for radios, wireless communication systems, Internet data traffic analysis and adaptive Web sites.
