McMaster podcasts to court prospective students

Today's students are wired, so when McMaster University's engineering faculty was looking for new ways to convince them to head to Hamilton for their degrees, it chose to reach them through the gadgets they love — MP3 players. The school recently launched a 20-minute podcast called Radio Fireball to convince engineering students it has accepted to choose McMaster over other universities pursuing them. The first four podcasts were posted on April 26 and are mostly lifestyles-oriented, so the students can get a sense of what it would be like to live in Hamilton and study at McMaster, said Lucy Sheung, outreach and enrolment manager at the faculty of engineering at McMaster.
