The business of analyzing project success

When was the last time your company finished an IT project on time and on budget? It's still the exception, not the rule, to roll out projects that meet the original requirements and that don't come at the price of cost or time overruns. Success rates are improving, according to research from the Stan-dish Group in West Yarmouth, Mass. Its 2003 Chaos report shows that just over a third of all projects are listed as successes, up from 16 per cent in 1994.
