I find it interesting that an American is telling Canada what it needs to do, when there are so many disjointed projects and government initiatives in the U.S., many of which cost millions of dollars and cannot get out of their own path. As an American IT professional who has worked in the US and Canadian health-care industries, I can clearly see that the Canadian government directives for information sharing and co-ordination have put the consolidation of digital information in health care far in front of the U.S.
