Dynamic behaviours of cables in parametrically unstable zones

摘要

In this paper a spline finite element model is derived to analyze parametric stability of cables under arbitrary dynamic excitations. The behavior of externally loaded cables in parametrically resonant zones is investigated. The reactions of excited cables on supported structures are studied. It shows that the parametric instability of cables must be carefully dealt with in engineering.
