摘要

This paper examines the way in which children's digital 'funds of knowledge' are influenced by multimodal form of learning through their use of digital technologies. Particular attention is given to the role of multimodal form of learning as an element of 'new literacies'. Two case studies are presented on children's use of digital technologies. The first is about a child who was filming by the use of a digital camera while her mother who was at the time making bread (Chapatti). The second is about a child who was playing brain training, a Nintendo DS game. The study used ethnographic methods. The data for this study was analysed as multimodal communicative practices followed by. This includes embodied modes such as speech, gaze, gesture, actions related to the video recording. Finally my finding indicates that the children's digital practices at home involve using various types of multimodal forms of learning and is informing educators who are in the position to consider using multimodal forms of learning in educational attainment at school.
