摘要

We present a new optimal time scheduling algorithmfor sending data packets from sensor nodes to their designated cluster head using TDMA with load balance. The available time slots are optimally assigned to the contending source nodes to achieve load balance at the receiving cluster head. Load balancing extends the life of the sensor network and provides easy scalability. Along with this task, the time slot assignment also minimizes the overall transmission cost when different time slots impose different costs to different sources. This increases the life of the Wireless Sensor Network. We use binary integer programming to determine the TDMA schedule for data communication. This method of optimization is found to be superior to exhaustive search and quadratic programming methods. Our method provides a very high degree of balance and lower cost of transmission compared to random scheduling, uniformscheduling and no-gap scheduling.
