In this paper a new approach for Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation as well as the Bandwidthrecognition ofa different received broadband signals is suggested. The proposed system presents a broadband processor that has the ability to estimate the DOA of broadband signals with different bandwidths, at the same time recognizes the relative Bandwidth Bw of the received signals. It constructed of linear adaptive array antennas with transversal filter as a wideband beam-former processor in combination with Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance Beam-former algorithm (LCMVB). A general mathematical model for M array sensors with J taps behind each sensor is presented. The delay time between the J taps equivalent to a phase shift (90°) at center frequency. The suggested processor is tested and evaluated for different cases. The result shows that with a proper number of taps behind each sensor, the system excellently could estimate the DOA's as well as the bandwidths of the received signals.
