Giving due weight to the subject matter and the available time and resources, as much quality information as possible was amassed for consideration. The various surveys coupled with the written word and interviews will provide a reasonable picture of the 'hacker' activity here in the UK. It must be accepted that the number of such crimes recorded/reported is simply the tip of the problem, and in reality the number of incidents are under-recorded. It is interesting to note that the experiences across the business spectrum are broadly similar. Therefore, the various survey results can be accepted with a degree of confidence.
