Hacking and viruses have become commonplace fixtures of cyber-space. As we continue to move into the 21st century, new solutions will be needed to address the problem of Internet fraud. Events to date, should serve to illustrate the limitations of a law enforcement edifice founded solely on the nation-state. The need for new accommodations to address the challenges of Internet crime remains to be addressed. The effort to contain Internet fraud must, by necessity, focus on global cooperation and a new criminology. The current criminal justice edifice, founded in the era of the Industrial Revolution, will no longer suffice.
