Erratum to 'an integrated multi-lot-size production inventory model for deteriorating item' [Computer and Operation Research 30 (2003) 671-682]

Yang and Wee (YW) proposed the time-weighted-inventory value (TWI) of the producer and the buyer in Eqs. (14) and (15) of their paper. The producer's holding cost is —430.61 when the number of delivery n_i is equal to 1. The result is unrealistic. The propositions of TWI carried in the inventory system should have the positive holding cost (PHC) and the total quantity-equality (TQE) characteristics. The former is that the producer and the buyer have positive carrying cost values. The latter is that the total inventory carried by the producer and the buyer is equal to the total item quantities produced by the producer. To simplify the following analysis, we reduce the influences of unit price and deterioration factor by ignoring the deterioration, producer's unit cost and the buyer's unit cost. We consider the same example given by YW.
