We investigate the mechanical quadrature methods (MQMs) for solving boundary integral equations (BIEs) of the three-dimensional axisymmetric elasticity equations with Dirichlet's problems. The convergence of the MQMs is proved based on Anselone's collective compact theory. Moreover, an asymptotic error expansion of the MQMs shows that the approximation order is of O(h(3)). Numerical examples are tested and the results verify the theoretical analysis. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
