Conservative upwind difference schemes for compressible flows of a real gas

In a recent paper [1], numerical schemes based on a conservative linearisation are presented for the Euler equations governing compressible flows of an ideal gas, and the subsequent study of these schemes establishes relationships between them through the use of a source term. In this paper, we seek to extend these ideas to encompass compressible flows of real gases where the equation of state allows for nonideal gases. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
