Digital transformation: Industry 4.0 for future minds and future society

Digital transformation rapidly attracts growing interest and reputa-tion due to its revolutionary role in transformation of industries in which all practices and principles are translated into a new era/age with new sets of norms and practices. It revolutionises the whole world with digitalisation and virtualisation for high mobility, personal technolo-gies, data-driven solutions, new age of automation and offers living with robots. Therefore, thinking from the future will be more important than think about the future. Manufacturing and service industries are two pioneering sectors take part of digital transformation following a new standard of industrial revolution, Industry 4.0, in order to adapt to the new normal shaped up with emerging information technologies, espe-cially in the frontline fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and internet of things. It is clear that the compet-itive market would not let companies that are blind and apathetic to emerging technologies survive.
