摘要

Digital Ethics is a book that attempts to grapple with some of the most pressing concerns for rhetoricians working in the digital era; namely, the proliferation and emboldening of people committing aggressive and unethical acts online. This book assembles a collection of chapters from authors all attempting to deal with the issue of online immorality across the myriad of spaces and places that the internet affords, from gaming communities to social media and even the ways in which the digital creeps into our analog lives. This book ranges in scope from broader discussions of digital aggression and attempts to lay out theoretical groundwork for approaching said situations to case studies of specific encounters in distinct platforms. When taken together, the book provides an effective "state of the union" of what we currently know about digital aggression, and points the way to avenues for further research and praxis.
