US leads Europe in the IT security pay stakes, global survey reveals

Europe is lagging behind the US in pay rates for IT security professionals, the latest survey by IDC and the International Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) has revealed. Almost 14% of security professionals in the US earn salaries greater than £70,000 a year, compared to 8% in Europe, the survey of 4,000 security professionals found.
