Government has not thought through its broadband tax

The recent news that the governmentrnintends to implement the broadbandrntax it set out in the Digital Britainrnreport before the next election (www.rncomputerweekly.com/237842.htm)rncomes as something of a surprise tornme.rnWhilst I fully appreciate the need for Britain's broadband infrastructure to be upgraded to meet the needs of consumers and businesses, I am not sure if a £6-a-year levy on landlines is the best way to do it.
