Restaurant chain improves information access and management, while reducing support costs with unified communications

To provide more effective communication between restaurants and the Little Chef head office, Vodafone replaced the existing dial-up network with a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network. Previously, it took up to four days to process sales information and other data from the restaurants to head office, delaying the ability to react to market changes in specific branches. Now, management data from each branch is automatically sent over a secure, reliable high speed link so that head office management can access it within a few hours of the restaurant closing.
