Reference model and functional architecture for information availability

摘要

This paper presents a domain and supplier independent generic architecture for the information brokerage, designed as a part of the EU ACTS R&D project GAIA (Generic Architecture for Information Availability). The GAIA Architecture provides a common framework for developers of the brokerage systems. This paper describes a Reference Model which defines actors involved in the information trading and actions that constitute the trading process. It introduces a modular Functional Architecture which covers the functionality of the brokerage system and allows to incorporate different existing Technologies into the broker.
