The standards process: tools and methods for standards tracking and implementation

摘要

A key aspect of the use of standards is the tracking of changes in standards and their influence over strategy. This paper outlines a model and tools that can be used within a framework to track changes in standards and inform the process of using standards in an information management and technology (IMT) environment. The tools that are presented are outlined with useful examples to show their use in common situations. Finally a set of guidelines are developed for the implementation of the tools in a real situation.
