Specification, standards and information management for distributed systems

摘要

The increasing number of applications which adopt diverse interfaces, protocols and frameworks and run over network or the internet has hindered their communication, collaboration and integration. A number of international organisations have attempted to bridge these differences by proposing numerous standards. Most of these resulting standards or specifications have been accepted by, and have significant impact on, the academic and industry communities, but the rapid change in demand to the distributed systems and the availability of emerging technologies requires more sophisticated approaches to resolve their inconsistency.
