Attack On A Semi-blind Watermarking Scheme Based On Singular Value Decomposition

In this paper, we show that a recently proposed robust watermarking scheme by Shieh et al. does not bind a cover image to a watermark, therefore cannot be used for proof of ownership applications. The problem lies in the use of singular value decomposition (SVD) for this binding.
