Thanks to its DisplayLink technology, Asus's 22-inch VW223B wide-screen monitor offers a quick and easy solution for creating a multiple-monitor setup without the need for additional video cards. Although tje $289 VW223B lacks a digital DVI connector, it provides generally good performance-as long as you're not working with video. The VW223B has a native resolution of 1,680×1,050, but you won't be able to watch protected HD content since the monitor doesn't support a DVI connection with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). Even though that's a con in our book, we do acknowledge that Asus markets the VW223B as a secondary display, not as a user's main monitor.
