Arm movement coordination when rotating a spherical object

摘要

The coordination between arm pivoting and forearm prono-supination when rotating a spherical object has been investigated. The most striking observation is that both the mechanisms were used differently according to object-rotation direction. High variation in motion was also observed in case of low-rotation amplitude. The results seem to follow the principle of minimum work and discomfort.
