摘要

The influence of blood shear-thinning behaviour on flow dynamics has been characterised in an original in vitro device comprising a compliant AAA model and a fluid mimicking blood rheological properties. Using velocity measurements, it is shown that a Newtonian model cannot provide accurate predictions for intra-AAA flow dynamics.
