摘要

In this study, we have demonstrated that CNT reinforced HA coating on titanium implants and induces higher osseointegration as compared to HA coating without CNT (Facca et al. 2011). The new bone grown near HA-CNT was stiffer. Our study proved that CNT could be used without any cytotoxicity, asrnnanoreinforcement to plasma sprayed HA coatings for orthopaedic applications. However, it is suggested that longer implantation (12 months) is needed to appreciate the safety and the biocompatibility of CNT prior to clinical application.
