These findings suggest that a higher muscle force at the knee is associated with greater gait efficiency. Likewise, a larger RoM at the ankle and a higher power generated at the ankle during walking are associated with a better gait efficiency. Our results, as supported by the regression model, suggest that these ankle parameters are key parameters to gait efficiency. A better understanding of the relation between kinematic and kinetic parameters and gait efficiency would have a significant impact on the therapy in children with CP.
