Preface to the special issue on models and methods in computational vascular and cardiovascular mechanics

摘要

This special issue focuses on the subject of modeling and numerical methods in vascular and cardiovascular mechanics. The papers in this special issue were contributed by authors who were invited to participate in the minisymposium titled "Models and Methods in Computational Vascular and Cardiovascular Mechanics" that took place at the 9th US National Congress on Computational Mechanics, San Francisco, CA, July 22-26, 2007. The special issue editors were the symposium organizers. The special issue contains one review article on open problems in computational vascular biomechanics and nine original research papers.
