摘要

This paper describes the design of a new tool for the real-time measurement and visualisation of traffic flows in wide area backbone networks. It enables various scenarios to be evaluated based upon stored real-time traffic samples. The key innovative aspect of this work lies in the ability to visualise traffic flows and resulting optimal network configurations in three dimensions with good use of a graphical interface. The design work is based upon and enhances a variety of existing measurement and modelling techniques.
